Build the player.
Keep the club.

Most youth players get plenty of games and very little training. JAFA is the layer underneath: cohorts of four to six, the founder on the floor, and several times the ball contact your player gets anywhere else.

The Method

Four pillars, every session

Club soccer is built for teams. JAFA builds the player. All four pillars are trained together, because mastery without decision speed produces a player who looks good and plays slow.

Ball mastery

Every surface of both feet, at speed, without looking down. A player who has to look down cannot scan.

Close quarter possession

Keeping and moving the ball with a defender one to two yards away. The situation the game produces most.

Decision speed

The gap between good and dominant is rarely the touch. It is how long the touch takes to arrive.

The individual duel

Winning a 1v1 in both directions. The duel is where technique becomes a competitive weapon.

The Difference

The layer clubs don't deliver

At a 1:16 ratio, technical mastery gets lost. JAFA is the supplemental layer competitive families are already paying for, done right, in a group small enough that every player gets coached.

Questions

Good to know

What ages and levels is JAFA for?
JAFA is premium technical development for committed players U10–U18. Players typically also play club or school soccer and want differentiated supplemental training.
Does my player have to leave their club?
No. Players keep their club, their team and their coach. JAFA is the layer underneath: we build the individual player so the club environment has better material to work with. Our work is designed to complement club training, not compete with it.
How big are the groups?
Group cohorts are just 4–6 players, so every player gets real coaching attention.
How do I pay?
Two options: pay in full, or a 50% / 50% split, with the first payment due at registration and the second at the 5th session. We accept checks payable to Joga Azteca Futból Academy LLC and Zelle. More electronic options (Venmo Business, Stripe) are coming soon.
What is Winter Futsal?
This winter (October to early February) JAFA fields two competitive futsal teams, 2013B Boys (U14) and 2014B Boys (U13), training weekly and playing Futsal East league matches on Friday nights in Stillwater. $650 all-inclusive.
